A 21-year-old man is all set to become the youngest judge of the country. Jaipur boy Mayank Pratap Singh created history by becoming the youngest Judge of Rajasthan.

Talking to News Agency, Singh said, “Honesty is the most important criteria to become a good judge.”

Talking about how he prepared to be a judge, he said, “I had to study for 12 to 13 hours every day to be able to clear the Rajasthan judicial services 2018 exam to become a good judge.”

“Obviously I’m extremely elated. I expected a good result. According to me a good judge should be honest & should not be spread by external influences including muscle power & money power,” said old Mayank Pratap Singh.

Mayank had been pursuing a 5-year LLB course from the Rajasthan University. A resident of Mansarovar in Jaipur, Mayank completed his LLB from Rajasthan University in April this year.

He cleared the Rajasthan Judicial Services Exam at the age of 21 & now is all set to become the youngest Judge of the country. Mayank managed to clear the RJS exam in his first attempt itself.

The Rajasthan HC had, in 2019, reduced the minimum age of appearing in the Rajasthan RJS Exam to 21. Earlier, the minimum age for the exam was 23.

“I could appear in the exam only because the minimum age was reduced. Had it not been so then I would not have been eligible. I think it will benefit me because now I will get more time to learn and do more work and serve more people in my career because I joined at such a young age,” he added.
